Draw Order:
* Each ticket purchased before the Bonus Prize ticket sales deadline of midnight, March 30 is eligible for the Bonus Prize draw for a 9-night trip for two to New Zealand or $15,000 Cash. Bonus Prize draw date is April 11.
** Only tickets purchased before the Early Bird deadline of midnight, May 3, 2012 are eligible for the Early Bird draw. In the event that all tickets are sold by the Early Bird deadline, then all draws would begin on May 14, 2012 at 8:30am. The first draw would be for the 50/50 Add-On, immediately followed by the draw for the Early Bird prize. This would be followed by draws for all remaining prizes in order of retail value, beginning with the prizes of least retail value. The top valued prize draw would be made on May 17, 2012 on CTV’s Live at 5 at 529 Sandwick Drive.
*** If tickets remain after the Early Bird deadline, then only the Early Bird draw would be made on May 17, 2012. All remaining draws would begin on June 4, 2012 at 8:30am. The first draw would be for the 50/50 Add-On, followed by draws for all remaining prizes in order of ascending retail value. The top valued prize draw would be made on June 7, 2012 on CTV’s Live at 5 at 529 Sandwick Drive. After each draw, the winner is recorded and the ticket then goes back in the drum for the next draw.
Tickets purchased after the Bonus Draw deadline will be eligible for each of the remaining 7,209 draws. Tickets purchased after the Early Bird deadline will be eligible for the remaining 7,208 draws.
All draws, with the exception of those made on television, will be made at Deloitte & ToucheLLP, Purdy’s Wharf, Tower II, 1969 Upper Water Street, Suite 1500, Halifax NS B3J 3R7.
† 50/50 Add-Ons must be ordered in conjunction with your QEII Lifestyles Lottery 2012 ticket. 50/50 Add-On orders will not be accepted after your original QEII Lifestyles Lottery 2012 ticket order date. The 50/50 Add-On winner will receive half of the total accumulated 50/50 pot. A maximum of 280,000 Add-On tickets are available for sale.
†† Approximate retail value as of the date contracts were negotiated with suppliers. Due to housing market fluctuations, the market value of the real estate prizes may rise or diminish over time. Winner or charity is not entitled to the difference, if any, between the stated and actual market value at the time the prize is awarded. Prices include taxes and freight, where applicable. Title transfer of Grand Prize Showhome and Grand Prize Cottage will be May 28 or June 18, 2012. In the event the QEII Foundation is unable to provide unencumbered title to any prize home according to the lottery schedule, the QEII Foundation may (at its discretion) provide a cash payout equal to the contracted cost of the home or cottage (excluding any HST, taxes, etc.) in lieu of the prize home.
Prize Claim:
All winners will be notified in writing by the professional services firm of Deloitte & ToucheLLP as to what they have won and where to claim their prizes. Prize notification letters are addressed to the primary ticket holder only and mailed to the address provided by the ticket purchaser. In the event that a winning ticket is held in more than one name, it is the liberty of the ticket holder to share winning information with those parties. It shall be the responsibility of a winner to license and insure vehicles from the time of their ownership.
All winners will be published in The Chronicle Herald and online at QE2LifestylesLottery.com on May 25, 2012 if all tickets are sold by the Early Bird deadline. If tickets remain after the Early Bird deadline, the list of winners will be published on June 15, 2012.
As per the Nova Scotia Alcohol and Gaming Authority rules, all winners have 90 days to claim their prizes. After such time, a second draw will be made for all prizes unclaimed after 90 days following the applicable draw date.
Winners consent to the use of their name and photograph by the licensee for publicity purposes.
Ticket purchases are not tax deductible; prize winnings are not taxable. Total retail value of prizes is approximately $3,068,322.87 including taxes. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated. Prizes must be accepted as awarded with no cash alternatives available. Purchasers must be at least 19 years of age. Intended for residents of Nova Scotia.
The following people and their immediate families are excluded from purchasing tickets: The QEII Foundation Board members, Honorary trustees, Foundation staff and Deloitte & ToucheLLP partners and employees.
All ticket purchases are final and returns are not available. Arrangements may be made with the prize supplier to have a prize delivered to the winner at the prize winner’s expense.
♦ All 3 tickets in a 3-pack or 5-pack, and all 50/50 Add-Ons in a 5-pack or 15-pack, must contain the same information. Only one method of payment will be accepted, only one mailing address will be recorded, and only one envelope will be mailed containing all tickets and 50/50 Add-Ons.
